Magazine Front Cover Draft 1

This advert draft was my second draft of my first idea my magazine front cover. I decided to focus it around the art department because I am able to relate to this because I would describe myself as an 'arty' person.
The picture in the background is of an art classroom, with a painting in front of it, which a friend of mine has painted. I am going to change the title of the headline from 'Local Student Wins Painting Competition' to 'Art Student Wins Art in Gallery.' This is because the idea of the painting competition may be a bit too general and not really worthy of the front cover of a magazine, whereas if the headline is that a student has done something big like having their painting in a gallery seems much more worthy.
I have deleted the 'Sports News' sections because i felt that this would look better with the masthead across the top.
